In the West, film stars such as Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston are said to be fans of the invisible adhesive strip, which, when put on the eyelid, pulls it up to reduce the droop.

Costing £29.99 (Rs 2,124) for a month's supply, it is designed to combat the common signs of ageing by neutralising the excess skin over the eyelids and restoring the eye to its natural youthful shape, reports the Daily Mail.

"The Eye Secrets strips work by gently pushing the eyelid and hoods of excess skin above the eye to the back of the eye socket, thus giving the eye the appearance of being fully open and supported," a company spokesman for the product said. "The results last 12 hours, or until the strip is removed," he added.
