Red Pages predicts 2012's key fashion players

Britain's sixth annual Red Pages Hot 100 has predicted the biggest stars of international fashion for 2012, citing rising British designer Phoebe English as one to watch.

Every year the international celebrity contact service collaborates with industry insiders to list 100 upcoming names in film, TV, music, fashion, literature, new media, sport and politics.

English, who this year scooped accolades including the L'Oréal Professionel Creative Award and the Vauxhall Fashion Scout's Ones

To Watch, has been tipped for success in 2012 along with Alicia Duncan Smith, who was named by Vogue as a Graduate to Watch and currently works for creator Katie Eary.

Other designers on the list include London-based Taiwanese creator Shao Yen Chen, whose traditional knitting techniques have caught the eye of the fashion industry, American menswear designer Marlon Gobel, whose Spring/Summer 2012 line roused interest at New York Fashion Week, and Danish creator Trine Lindegaard.

Other fashion insiders on the compilation include models Charlotte Free, Jessica Clarke, Lisalla Montenegro and Roxy Horner.

2011 has also seen the first ever compilation of a list for the US, citing rising Cuban-American designer Luis M. Fernandez as one to watch, as well as style blogger Emily Schuman, who will release her first book in 2012.

Previous designers featured on the Red Pages Hot 100 list include Georgia Hardinge, who went on to win the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Merit Award and has dressed the likes of Lady Gaga and Beyoncé Knowles.
