American designer Adam Saaks, known for his uber stylish T-shirt shredding technique, is currently in Delhi and would love to meet Mallika Sherawat.
“I’m looking forward to meeting Mallika Sherawat. We have a close common friend and we have being planning to meet for a year now,” says the 39-year-old, who specialises in cutting and slitting simple tees within minutes to turn them into design masterpieces. His talent that has won him fans such as Britney Spears, Jessica Alba and Paris Hilton.
"I have not studied fashion; the trick comes naturally to me. It’s like I have butter on my scissors," he says.
Saaks, who has come to India for the second time, says he’d love to try his hand at lehengas. “A lehenga is a very sexy outfit as you have the midriff showing, and it’s also very extravagant. I would also love to reconstruct and re-drape a sari and turn it into a sari-bikini may be.”
Saaks has also decided to include some Indian fashion in his wardrobe. “I shopped for salwars. I think they are a perfect pair of slouchy trousers. I can wear them myself.”

{{/usCountry}}Saaks will be showcasing his technique at The Bristol hotel in Gurgaon tonight. He will be back to India in April for a ramp stint at the Pune fashion week.
