It is typical to think of white wedding gowns when you imagine a white lace dress. However, this summer white lace looks in romantic yet simple avatars are a hit on the runway, the red carpet and even on the street. At the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival celebrities such as Sonam Kapoor, Uma Thurman, Sarah Jessica Parker and Penelope Cruz chose to wear white lace dresses for their media appearances.

Besides being elegant, the look can also be worn casually. Katy Perry wore a maxi lace dress at the Coachella Music Festival, while Kate Bosworth wore her mini lace dress with a jacket and boots for a party. While delicate lace details make a demure day wear, it makes the evening wear bold.
