Ever since researchers discovered positive ways to use Botulinum toxin (Botox) in the 1950s, there’s been no looking back. Administering the toxin in tiny doses to treat muscle spasms, cross eyes and uncontrollable blinking was just the stepping stone.

Today, both men and women, usually belonging to the elite sect (filmstars in particular), hop across to a clinic for their bi-annual dose of the drug in between high tea sessions and come back looking a couple of years younger.

Botox smoothens out the fine lines on the face (or any other part of the body), formed due to constant exposure to the sun and continuous muscle activity. It treats excessive sweating on palms and underarms, and even migraines. It can also lighten up the complexion. The effects wear off in six months. Then it is time to go in for another shot!
