If you thought fashion patches were only about fixing holes in your jeans, you certainly missed out on one of the hottest retro trends that’s back in fashion. Stylistas are adding a pop punch to their denims and jackets with the ‘90s favourite accessory.
Bollywood actors Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and Jacqueline Fernandez recently rocked fun and quirky patches to make a style statement. Experts say the trend was bound to return.

Seth, fashion patches give you the freedom to experiment. “They are great for college students. You can even create DIY patches to speak your mind out. From camouflage to cheeky emoji stick-ons — young people are wearing patches in the most fun ways,” he says.
For designer Nida Mahmood, patchwork denims are an all-time favourite. “Patches add a special flavour to your denims. And, for the designer, they create a great playground. One has so many options to play with unique looks — the possibilities are simply endless,” she says.
