A fashion show inspired by nature and native traditions by young fashion students.

An event that was high on fashion and glamour was a unique opportunity for the students of Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF). Fifty-seven students of the academy presented their collections to the who’s who of the fashion fraternity with Silviano Ferre, managing director, Alberto Del Biondi, an Italy-based brand as the chief guest.

Portfolio 2010 is an annual fashion show for postgraduate and undergraduate students. The collections were inspired by themes like nature and native traditions. Various emotions and expressions from human life also stimulated many student designers for their first show at a professional forum. “I am amazed at the rapid improvements in the design excellence, that the PAF graduates are showing year after year. The diversity and use of fabric, silhouettes, and styles is amazing,” says Deepak Seth, chairman PAF.

Well-known models of the Delhi circuit like Amanpreet Wahi, Krishna Somani, Donna Masiya and Anchal Kumar walked the ramp wearning the creations of the young and budding designers.

“I am very excited to showcase my creation. I am expecting a critical feedback from the visitors. It will inspire me for doing better in future,” says Says Pallavi Khanna, a final year student.
