The victim, Amar Singh, a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan, was found lying in a pool of blood on adjacent to his tea stall Saturday. A passerby informed police and the victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Pardeep Dangi, SHO, Sector 56 police station, said the police had recovered a screw driver from the crime spot, adding that no suspects had been identified. “The family of the victim said he did not have any enmity with anyone. Apart from the mouth and the face, the victim had injuries on his neck and shoulder as well,” said SHO Dangi.
Dr Deepak Mathur, forensic expert at Civil Hospital, said the injuries were consistent with the theory that he was stabbed in the mouth with a screwdriver, causing internal bleeding. “The victim had scratches on his neck and shoulder,” said Dr Mathur.
