A day after 100 school children from prominent schools in Delhi and Gurgaon were caught drinking and smoking at a local pub, police have given pub/bar owners across the city 15 days to install CCTV cameras with web-based remote surveillance.

The establishments will have to share their IP addresses with the police and excise authority to allow them to monitor the watering holes.
On June 3, Maheshwar Dayal, Gurgaon joint commissioner of police, had directed all pubs/bars to install CCTV cameras for security reason but many are yet to follow the order.
Of the fresh directive, Dayal said, “After 15 days, any pub/bar found without CCTV cameras would face strict action. We have also directed pub owners to ensure the age (not below 25) of their employees serving liquor.”
“The children caught at the pub and their parents have also been warned,” Dayal added.
