Huda administrator Praveen Kumar asked all the executive engineers of the six divisions to visit their respective areas and take stock of the situation. Gurgaon’s senior town planner (STP) RK Singh was also present in the meeting.

Soon after the meeting, Huda engineers and other officials swung into action and visited several private developers’ townships on Tuesday itself.

Kumar also asked the STP to hold a meeting with private builders in this regard. Private developers’ townships fall under the jurisdiction of the town and country planning department. The extra development charges (EDC) collected by the department from private builders is transferred to Huda for improving infrastructure.

The apex court on Monday pulled up Huda for not providing promised facilities in privately-developed localities even though it has collected thousands of crores in the name of internal and external development charges.
