Gurgaon school told to clarify fee hike soon

The SDM (north) has asked the management of DPSG, Palam Vihar, for a written reply

Parents of children studying in Delhi Public School Ghaziabad (DPSG), Palam Vihar, and representatives of the school were called for a meeting with Bharat Bhushan Gogia, subdivisional magistrate (SDM) North, on Wednesday.

The parents and school representatives met the SDM (north) in his office earlier this week too.

The meeting was held on the directions of Haryana public works department (PWD) minister and Badshahpur MLA Rao Narbir Singh. He had asked officials to hear the grievances of parents who are opposing the fee hike effected by the school.

Gogia ordered the school management to submit a written reply by Monday clarifying the fee hike as the school has still not submitted Form 6 and have raised the fee.

NM Bhatia, the representative of the school management, said parents have not presented all facts in the correct manner. Citing an example, he claimed that the air-conditioning charges of Rs4,000 are for an entire year and not for every three months as alleged by parents.

Bhatia also said the management has the permission to run the school only up to class 8. So for students of class 9 and class 12, who are leaving school, transfer certificates are given in the name of Chiranjeev Bharti.

Another meeting of the school management and parents has been called on Monday to resolve the matter of fee hike.
