The Delhi Police have booked three executives of a Gurgaon-based private firm under various sections of Information Technology Act. The police have also named one executive of the rival company in the FIR.

A complaint was filed at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Mandir Marg, New Delhi on August 6 by Meta Industries which is manufacturing and exporting stainless steel house-ware products.
Ashok Ahlawat, managing director, Meta Industries alleged, “Export manager Praveen Kumar Singh, who had abruptly resigned after 5 years of service had stolen data comprising huge amount of proprietary and confidential information which can cause damage to our export business.”
Ahlawat also alleged that Singh established his own business in the name of Maxis Industries. Evidences of transfer of funds from an existing customer of the firm to the bank account of Maxis Industries during his tenure with Meta Industries were also found.
Subsequently Meta Industries also found that another former executive, Pradeep Kumar was involved in Maxis Industries’ activities.
“I was only instrumental in forming the company in 2006 and now they have filed case against me just because I wanted to move,” said Praveen Kumar.
