The Haryana power distribution companies have supplied 30% more electricity during the month of June, 2013 as compared to that in the corresponding month in 2012, resulting in a much-welcome 42% rise in monthly revenue.

Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam claimed that it earned an all-time-high monthly revenue of Rs 722 crore during June this year which is 42% higher than the Rs 509 crore received during the corresponding month last year. Gurgaon topped the revenue generation list with Rs 336.50 crore followed by Faridabad contributing Rs 192.52 crore.
The encouraging figures were revealed on Friday at the operation review meeting of the DHBVN which was presided over by Devender Singh, chairman and managing director, Haryana power distribution companies. Singh said that the increase in revenue was mainly because of considerable increase in power supply — around 400 crore units were supplied in June 2013.
