Gurgaon residents want court prod for civic bodies

Distraught residents feel that just like the mouthful that the Delhi government and the civic bodies got from the Delhi High Court regarding waterlogging, Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) and Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) also need some kind of judicial prodding to spring into action.

Residents commuting within and out of the city had a tough time navigating the city roads on Wednesday as most stretches were waterlogged.

“We need to hold someone accountable for every stretch of road. The road between Gurgaon and Delhi is well-maintained. Once you enter Gurgaon, it’s pathetic. There should be a similar court order for Gurgaon agencies,” said Priti Issar, a resident of DLF Phase-3.
