Three bands — Evol, Bhor and Zehan — made sure the audience danced to their beats.

The first band to perform was Evol. The four-member band from Rajasthan presented popular Hindi songs as well as their original compositions. With peppy numbers and a powerful performance, the band was the centre of attention.

“This is one of the best crowds that we have performed for. People were singing with us, clapping to the beats and cheering throughout the performance. We are extremely satisfied and hope to make it to the finale,” said Vivek, a band member.

“We don’t think any band has been able to make people dance till now. It is a proud and happy moment for us. HT Friday Jam has been able to increase our popularity among people and we have received a lot of recognition,” said Sumit Garg, a band member.

The last band, which rocked the HT stage with their songs, was Zehan. The band from Jammu presented a mix of slow and fast beat songs. The audience applauded the band’s ability to change the atmosphere from powerful and energetic to slow and peaceful within seconds. “It is wonderful to see people gather to see us perform in such humid weather. We are lucky to have been able to make it to the semi-finals and hope a chance at the finals too. HT Friday Jam has been a life-changing platform for us,” said Chetan, a band member.

Even the audience participated in the HT Friday Jam this weekend by singing and dancing along with the bands.

“I could not stop my feet the moment one of the bands played ‘Badan Pe Sitare’. It took me to the old days and I and my friends started dancing. HT Friday Jam is a stress buster,” said Kavita Singh of Noida.
