The accidents took place near Panchgaon Chowk, around 14 kilometres from the Kherki Daula toll plaza around 9.30am.

According to the police, no one was injured in the accident.

A witnesses said a bus was being driven at a high speed on the expressway. The driver had to suddenly apply the brakes, as a cow came in front of the vehicle.

The visibility on the expressway was very low in the morning. As the bus stopped suddenly, the driver of another bus coming behind could not stop on time and it rammed the stationary bus, the eyewitnesses said.

The visibility on the Gurgaon expressway was very low on Thursday morning.

Drivers of three more cars coming behind the second bus also rammed into one another, the eyewitnesses said.

“We immediately reached the spot after we got information about the pile-up. We quickly removed the vehicles from the expressway. No one was injured in the accident though the cars have been badly damaged,” said assistant sub-inspector Satpal from the Manesar police station.

Though no one was injured in Thursday’s incident, it has raised serious questions on the infrastructure deficiencies on the expressway, such as the lack of blinkers. Even the streetlights do not function most of the time.
