“Study lamp or desk lamp should have a bendable neck or adjustable arm to change the focus of the light to suit your convenience. Use energy-saving LED lights that are easy on eyes and saves power, instead of halogen lights,” says interior designer Bobby Aggarwal. Avoid bulky study lamps. “A small desk lamp will save space on your desk.

Colours like aluminium, white and black look good on study lamps. If you spend long hours working on your desk, use a full spectrum light bulb that mimics the natural sunlight,” says Angeline Loiseau, store manager at Zolijns Designs. Be it the rechargeable study lights, solar lamps or the power-saving LED lights, the design element is important. Product designer, Mukul Goyal says, “Study lamps come in a variety of style - squat or curved neck, which emit light in an inclined direction.”
