The schedule recommended by the Government of India has fully incorporated the recommendations of the EPI schedule given by the World Health Organisation.

These are different vaccines, which are to be given to children at various stages of development. These vaccines are a must, and need to be administered as a precaution to prevent children from various diseases. The vaccines like Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) and Diphtheria, Pertussis and Tetanus (DPT) are very crucial and need to be given in a six weeks' time after the birth of the baby.
