Affleck and Timberlake to star in Runner, Runner

Ben Affleck is set to join Justin Timberlake in director Brad Furman upcoming thriller, set in the illegal world of internet-based poker.

Ben Affleck is set to join Justin Timberlake in director Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) upcoming thriller, set in the illegal world of internet-based poker.

Affleck is a poker player and champion along with Leonardo DiCaprio whose Appian Way Films is one of the films’ producers.

Production is scheduled to begin this summer in Puerto Rico, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Affleck last starred in The Town, which he co-wrote and directed, will appear next in Argo, scheduled for October 2012, which stars John Goodman (The Artist) and Bryan Cranston (John Carter). Also, he stars in a new Terrence Malick project.

Timberlake most recently starred in Bad Teacher and Friends with Benefits with Mila Kunis. Next up he stars in Trouble With the Curve, hitting theaters in September, and the Coen brothers' Inside Llewyn Davis, opening in February.
