Alba at the balancing act
Jessica’s busy juggling career, pregnancy and time with daughter Honor.
Actor Jessica Alba, who is expecting her second child with husband Cash Warren, is trying to juggle her career and family. “I don’t know if I’ve achieved the balance between family and career, though I am trying to. My family is obviously my priority, but figuring out how to spend quality time with Honor (daughter Honor Marie) and stay true to my own journey and creative fulfilment is challenging,” says the actor.
Alba, who will be next seen in the kid flick Spy Kids 4 : All the Time In The World, slated to hit Indian theatres on August 19, says bringing a new member in the family is an arduous task. “It isn’t easy to bring a new family into the world. When my belly popped, Honor had all these new feelings about it and a new part of her personality came out,” says Alba, 30.
“Earlier, when I’d try to cuddle Honor, she would get distracted and run off. Now she wants me to pick her up or to sit on my lap all the time. It’s sweet, but when I have groceries and a diaper bag, picking her up isn’t the easiest thing,” she adds. She says Honor is quite different from what she was as a little girl. “Honor’s mostly into princess dress-up, all that girly stuff. I was more of a superhero kid; I used to pretend I was Superman. I have no idea where my daughter got this girlieness from!”
