Avengers: Endgame has created history in India and is showing no signs of slowing down now that the new week has started. The film that earned ₹157.2 crore in its first weekend, added an estimated ₹30-32 crore on Monday. With houseful theatres and tickets still hard to come by, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film is closing in on ₹190 crore and is expected to enter ₹200 crore on Tuesday, reported Boxofficeindia.com.
With ₹31 crore, Avengers Endgame has now clocked the second highest box office earning on a Monday in India, behind Bahubali - The Conclusion. Updating the weekend figures of the film, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh had pitted the film against its sequel, Avengers: Infinity War. “AvengersEndgame writes H-I-S-T-O-R-Y... Fans around the globe packed movie theaters for the debut of Avengers: Endgame over the weekend, pushing total ticket sales for the Walt Disney Co superhero spectacle to a stunning $1.2 billion and crushing records in dozens of countries. The film generated an unprecedented $350 million in the United States and Canada from Thursday night through Sunday, according to Disney estimates. The three-hour action spectacle that revealed the fates of Iron Man, Thor and other popular comic-book heroes also made history in China, Brazil, France, Egypt, South Africa and 38 other markets.
