The first trailer for The Perks of Being a Wallflower starring Emma Watson, Hermione of Harry Potter fame, was previewed at the pre-show of the MTV Movie Awards recently.
The film co-stars Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson, Three Musketeers) and Ezra Miller (We Need to Talk About Kevin), who also introduced the film on air before the show.
The coming-of-age film, based on the novel of the same name by director Stephen Chbosky, who wrote the screenplay Rent, follows a new kid in school and the friendship of two upper classmen, telling of the ups and downs of growing up, love and loss.
Wallflower also features Paul Rudd (Dinner for Schmucks) and Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story).
Wallflower releases on September 14 in North America, followed by European markets through September, Brazil in November and other dates to be announced.
