Actor Robert Downey Jr reportedly is the highest-paid star in The Avengers.
The Iron Man actor seems to be the lone exception to Marvel Studios’ strict cost controls since he is set to pocket $50 million from the blockbuster movie, while others from the film will bag only $2-$3 million.
Downey Jr got the high wage because his reps had renegotiated a deal to include what is said to be “a slice of Marvel’s revenue from the future movies in which he plays Iron Man.” The deal was sealed when the first armored hero movie scored a massive $585 million in 2008.
