Nicolas Cage plays well-meaning handyman Gary Faulkner who believes God has sent him from Colorado to Pakistan to capture Osama Bin Laden.
With Cage in place as the bumbling but intensely focused Faulkner, British comedian Russell Brand joins as God, Wendi McLendon-Covey of Bridesmaids as potential love interest Marci, and Amer Chadha-Patel as a cool, MTV Cribs-style Bin Laden.
For reasons unknown, Faulkner eventually makes it to Pakistan, where his hi-jinks attract the attention of US security services.
Sacha Baron Cohen collaborator Larry Charles directs, having Borat, Bruno and double-digit Curb Your Enthusiasm episodes on his resumé, while the writers of Kevin Costner sports drama Draft Day are credited with the script.
Army of One is set for a Digital HD release from November 4 and on Blu-Ray, DVD and through On Demand streaming services from November 15.
