Milk star Sean Penn is set to direct The Comedian, starring legendary actor Robert De Niro and Kristen Wig. The film, about a washed-up comedian chasing fame, has De Niro as a raging comic who wants to restore the fame he once enjoyed as a popular TV artist, Hollywood Reporter said. Written by Art Linson with Jeffrey Ross, the film has De Niro as a co-producer.
