Also being the biggest Spielberg opening of all time here, the movie earned over R.4.2cr by Saturday night while Spielberg’s last outing, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, had raked in R3.21 crore in the same period.
Tintin, starring actor Jamie Bell as the lead and Andy Serkis as Captain Haddock, released in India with 350 plus prints in English and Hindi. Shot by using the performance capture technique, this is the first of the reported trilogy that is going to hit the screens. Having been declared a smash hit in Europe, the boy reporter’s adventures will travel to the US, only after six weeks in December.
