Warner Bros. has reportedly placed the directors of The Matrix at the top of their pile for the upcoming DC comics flick, according to Moviehole.net.

With Christopher Nolan, David Yates and Ben Affleck now out of the picture, Warner Bros. is still looking for a director to shoot the movie version of the Justice League comics. Warner Bros. is now reportedly courting the sibling duo of Andy and Lana Wachowski, who are known for their success in the sci-fi blockbuster genre. Their latest work, Cloud Atlas, which they co-directed with Tom Tykwer, will premiere at Toronto's International Film Festival.

Much like in Marvel's Avengers, rival comics' publisher DC will bring together its own team of crime-fighting superheroes in Justice League, including staples such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman, whose powers will be tested to face a massive evil threat. Will Beale penned the script for the movie, but its details have been kept secret. The film should come out in 2015, provided it finds a director.
