Just a few days into Satish Salian's resurgence on the news circuit, this time armed with aggressive claims about his daughter Disha Salian's death being linked with that of her client at the time, actor Sushant Singh Rajput's demise — all wrapped in some pretty deep-seated political controversy, the CBI has filed its closure report in the matter.
Back on March 17, Satish, after 5 years of silence, went hammer and tong, asking for narco tests to be conducted on the likes of Aditya Thackeray, Aditya Pancholi and Dino Morea: "I demanded justice for my daughter. I also demanded protection, even for my counsel. I am ready for a Narco Test. But there should be a Narco Test of Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea too. All accused should be tested", he told ANI. Now within a week of his delayed outburst, daughter Disha's case, at least on part of the CBI, stands concluded. Disha, as per the report, did die by suicide, after she fell off the 14th floor of a Malad tower, a mere 6 days before Sushant's passing.
Disha, prior to her death, was working as a celebrity manager at Cornerstone Company. As per a Mid-Day report, 2 of the projects she had been handling, had stalled, leaving her upset and in a lurch. Now here's the shocker. Her professional stress stood compounded by the fact that her father, Satish, was in fact having an affair with a female colleague at his spice manufacturing unit. Money she had lent to him for his business pursuits, was instead spent by Satish on the affair — something which understandably, deeply disturbed Disha. As far as the endless reams of conspiracy theories go, a previous post-mortem conducted on Disha, revealed that she withstood no assault prior to her death. Her cause of death instead, was a severe head injury — explained by the fall from the 14th floor.

{{/usCountry}}Satish's lawyer Nilesh Ojha however, has a different take on this seemingly conclusive development: "It is important to note that as per the binding judgment of the Supreme Court, any closure report filed in an enquiry under Section 174 CrPC (Accidental Death Report/ADR) has no evidentiary value and cannot be relied upon by the accused in cases where cognisable offences are clearly disclosed. Therefore, the earlier closure report holds no legal weight", he said.
