Idukki’s superintendent of police KB Venugopal said the murders were committed by Aneesh, a former helper of Krishnan, with the help of his aide Libeesh.

The Kerala police Monday solved the murder of four members of a family in Idukki, arrested one person directly involved in the killings, and attributed the crime to professional rivalry between two practitioners of sorcery and occult, one of whom, the victim, had trained the main accused.

The bodies of Kanat Krishnan, his wife Susheela, and children Arsha K and Arjun K were found stacked on top of each other in a newly-dug trench on the premises of their house on August 1.

Idukki’s superintendent of police KB Venugopal said the murders were committed by Aneesh, a former helper of Krishnan, with the help of his aide Libeesh. Libeesh, a motor mechanic from Thodupuzha, has been arrested.
