A militant was killed as the Indian Army on Friday foiled an infiltration bid at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a defence spokesperson said.

“One weapon was also recovered from the dead militant,” he said.
Sources said the soldiers posted at Lasdat post near LOC noticed suspicious movement on Friday morning. The army fired in the direction, which was retaliated by the militants resulting in the gunfight.
