The Border Security Force (BSF) foiled two infiltration bids along the International Border in Kathua and Samba districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

A group of four-five armed militants approached the international border on the intervening night of July 10-11 in the Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, a BSF spokesperson said.
The BSF troops kept them under close observation as the militants waited for an opportunity to cross the border, he said. Aggressive domination of the BSF troops made them retreat to Pakistan.
Similarly, on July 9, another infiltration attempt was foiled by alert troops of the BSF in the Ramnagar sector of Samba district, where a group of armed militants were trying to infiltrate, he said.
The BSF spokesperson said Pakistan agencies and non-state actors instructed terrorist groups to infiltrate and spoil the peaceful environment in Jammu and Kashmir and take advantage of the present unrest in the Valley and during the ongoing Amarnath Yatra.
