By-poll results 2022 highlights: TMC sweeps Bengal, Cong wins in Chhattisgarh, Maha

By-poll results 2022 highlights: The counting of votes for one Lok Sabha and four assembly seats took place on Saturday for Bengal's Ballygunge, Chhattisgarh's Khairagarh, Bihar's Bochachan, and Maharashtra's Kolhapur North.  In a big win, the TMC has swept both the seats in Bengal, defeating the BJP. The TMC fielded actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha to represent Asansol in the Lok Sabha seat, against BJP's Agnimitra Paul. Meanwhile, the TMC fielded Babul Supriyo - who had quit the BJP and joined the Mamata Banerjee-led party recently - from the Ballygunge assembly seat.

RJD claimed its win in Bihar, calling for Tejaswi Yadav to be the chief minister soon. Congress has bagged the Maharashtra's Kolhapur North constituency and is leading in Chhattisgarh.
