Chandrayaan-3 updates: Vikram Lander scheduled to make soft landing at 6.04pm tomorrow
Chandrayaan-3 highlights: In less than 36 hours, India's third lunar mission will make a ‘historic landing’ on the surface of Moon.

Chandrayaan-3 Updates: Ahead of the historic landing scheduled for tomorrow at 6.04 pm, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announced on Monday that they will organise a live telecast of the landing process, which will begin at 5.20 pm on the same day. The link for the livestreaming has also been shared and is available on ISRO's official website....Read More
Meanwhile, the Lander Module of Chandrayaan-3 – with the lander Vikram and rover Pragyan – has been searching for the 'perfect spot' for landing after completing all the necessary orbiting and deboosting maneuvers around the Moon.
A two-way communication was established between Chandrayaan-3's Lander Module and Chandrayaan-2's Orbiter (the second edition of India's Moon mission launched in 2019) on Monday, according to ISRO. “‘Welcome, buddy!’ Ch-2 orbiter formally welcomed Ch-3 LM. Two-way communication between the two is established. MOX has now more routes to reach the LM,” ISRO wrote on X.
Chandrayaan-2's lander was unable to successfully touch down on the lunar surface and lost communication in September 2019 after reaching an altitude as close as 2.1 km.
Meanwhile, a senior ISRO scientist was quoted by a news agency ANI on Monday, saying, “If any factors appear to be unfavourable, then we will postpone the module's landing on the Moon to August 27.”
