During the operation, Desai allegedly accepted the money after directly speaking with the complainant. The cash was allegedly recovered on the spot.
ACB officials said Patel had consented to the deal and actively facilitated the acceptance of the bribe, pointing to their joint involvement. The demand, acceptance and recovery of the bribe were allegedly established during the trap proceedings, said officials.
