India Pakistan highlights: India's foreign secretary Vikram Misri during a briefing late on Saturday confirmed that Pakistani military had carried out multiple ceasefire violations and stated that the Indian Army would respond adequately and appropriately to the situation.
He also added that the Pakistani government should take responsibility and said, “This intrusion is extremely condemnable and Pakistan is responsible for it. We believe that Pakistan should understand this situation properly and take appropriate action immediately to stop this intrusion.”
Reacting to the ceasefire agreement, Pakistan on Sunday said that it “remains committed to faithful implementation” of the deal reached with India. The country's foreign ministry claimed that its forces “are handling the situation with responsibility and restraint,” and accused India of committing “violations.”
Drones have been spotted in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat's Kutch, Punjab and Rajasthan following Pakistan's violation of a ceasefire deal with India.
India's air defence system has intercepted and blocked several drones. Further, sirens have been blaring as blackouts are enforced and the public is asked to stay indoors in several districts.
US President Donald Trump on Saturday had announced a ceasefire between the countries and stated that the talks between the countries had been mediated by America.
The matter was confirmed by Pakistani foreign minister Ishaq Dar, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
The two countries had come to an understanding to halt all military action on land, air and sea. However, India has stated that the Indus Waters Treaty will remain in abeyance and that a ban on visas for Pakistani nationals would continue.
In a press briefing, held by the Ministry of External affairs and Ministry of Defence, Air Commodre Raghu Nair stated that while a ceasefire had been agreed upon, India was ready to protect its sovereignty at all times.
Earlier on Saturday, the Indian Air Force struck eight military sites in Pakistan, including radar units and ammunition dumps, in response to the Pakistan military's attacks on Indian military bases and civilian areas.
In the early hours of Saturday, multiple explosions were heard in several Indian cities, including Jammu, Srinagar and Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Pakistan shelling in Rajouri resulted in the demise of the region's additional district development commissioner Raj Kumar Thapa. Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah later visited the affected the civilian areas in Jammu, as well as Thapa's residence.
The ministry of civil aviation on Saturday also announced that now 32 airports will be closed till 5:29 am on May 15 for all civil flight operations. The Airports Authority of India also extended the temporary closure of 25 segments of Air Traffic Service (ATS) routes within the Delhi and Mumbai Flight Information Regions (FIRs) due to operational reasons.
India had on May 7 launched 'Operation Sindoor' with targeted strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 people dead. At an all party meeting earlier, Rajnath Singh informed that at least 100 terrorists were killed in the operation.

- India and Pakistan had reached a ceasefire agreement mediated by the United States after Pakistan's DGMO called India.
- However, all other measures against Pakistan will remain including visa curbs. The Indus Waters Treaty will also remain under abeyance.
- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday announced an ex-gratia of ₹10 lakh each for the next of kin of those who lost their lives in Pakistani shelling in the region.
- The Ministry of Home Affairs has also issued an advisory to all media channels to refrain from using Civil Defence Air Raid Siren sounds in their programs other than community awareness drives.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a meeting at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, with the chiefs of all three defence services, NSA Ajit Doval, CDS General Anil Chauhan, and defence minister Rajnath Singh, as tensions continue to escalate between India and Pakistan.
- Security has been beefed up near Haryana's Ambala district airport in the Ambala cantonment. Ambala is among the 32 airports that have been ordered shut for civil flight operations till May 15 by the Centre.
- The Ministry of Defence also took to social media platform X to share a WhatsApp channel that people can access for information in order to curb false news and misinformation.

India Pakistan news live: The Pakistani military has launched a drone attack in violation of a ceasefire reached with India. The drones have been intercepted in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua and Nagrota, as well as several other districts in the Union Territory.
Blackouts have been enforced and air raid sirens have been heard in Kathua and Nagrota as well.
Drones have also been spotted in Gujarat's Kutch, parts of Punjab and Rajasthan.

India Pakistan news live: After initial sightings in Jammu, drones sent by the Pakistani military have been spotted in Gujarat's Kutch region as well as parts of Punjab.
Pakistan has also resumed shelling in several border districts. Sirens have been blaring in several parts of Rajasthan and Punjab due to air raids and blackouts have been enforced. In Kutch as well, blackouts will be enforced in light of the fresh ceasefire violation.

India Pakistan news live: The Patiala district administration and Rupnagar district administration in Punjab have also imposed a blackout with immediate effect after Pakistan violated a ceasefire with India.
According to reports, shelling has been resumed along border districts. Further, air raid sirens have been blaring with drones sighted in multiple locations.
In Srinagar, oud explosions were heard, with CM Omar Abdullah expressing shock at the blatant violation.
