Air commodore Raghu Nair stated that India would continue to protect its sovereignty and stated that they were fully operationally ready to defend the nation.

It is the responsibility of the current J&K government to assess wherever the damage has been done and start providing relief to the people.”

He added, "Wherever people are injured, they should get proper treatment and also get relief under the government scheme. The fire has caused a lot of damage...DCs have been instructed to immediately do a final assessment of the damage and send that assessment to us so that we can start providing relief to these houses. Also, our airport has been closed for many days, we hope that the airport will reopen after the ceasefire."

India Pakistan news live: On Saturday, mock drills were carried out at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SHAR) in Sriharikota and Tirupati Airport in Andhra Pradesh.

 From 9:30 am to 11:30 am, multiple security teams undertook the mock drill at SHAR, which is one of ISRO's rocket-launching facilities. 

“The exercise was aimed at evaluating the preparedness, coordination, and response time of security forces in the event of a potential threat,” said an official press release.

Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, people had begun panic buying food and other essentials.

India Pakistan news live: Debris from unidentified projectiles was found from two villages in Punjab's Hoshiarpur district on Saturday morning, officials told PTI.

The wreckage was found in Sikri and Sandhra villages, Hoshiarpur Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Mukesh Kumar said.

The police have informed Indian Air Force officials for further investigation.

The closure will apply to shops, cinemas, restaurants, dhabas, market places and other business establishments. H also announced a blackout in the entire district from 8:30 pm to 5:30 am till further orders.
