Man ‘trying to take selfie’ dies after falling from swing at fair in Bihar's Nalanda, operator arrested

An 18-year-old man died after falling from a swing at a fair in Bihar's Nalanda district, police said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 9 pm on Monday at the 'Malmas' fair in Rajgir town, they said.

The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar, a resident of the Nardiganj police station area.

"The man fell from the swing from a considerable height, leading to his death," Rajgir SHO Raman Kumar told PTI.

An FIR has been registered, and the swing operator was arrested, he said.

"Preliminary investigation suggests that the youth was trying to take a selfie or make a reel. The police are investigating all aspects to ascertain the exact cause of the death," Malmas fair police station in-charge Jitendra Ram said.
