Militant hideout busted at Doda; grenade attack on SSB camp in Srinagar
Security forces on Tuesday busted a militant hideout and seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a forest area in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
In two separate incidents on Tuesday, security forces busted a militant hideout and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition from a forest area in Doda district, and an SSB camp in Srinagar suffered a grenade attack.

On a tip-off, a search operation was launched in the Linga Manjmi area in the district and a “natural terrorist hideout” was located, a police spokesperson said.
One AK-47 assault rifle, eight 12 bore rifles, one under barrel grenade launcher, one grenade, one Chinese grenade, 2,263 rounds of AK-47 bullets, two diaries, a purse, a notebook, two AK magazines, two radio sets and two Chinese pistols were seized from the hideout, he added.
It is suspected that the arms and ammunition were hidden by militants who have either been killed or shifted base elsewhere.
In the other incident, a grenade was lobbed by suspected militants at a camp of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in Bilal colony area in Srinagar on Tuesday. No casualties were reported.
Officials said the incident was reported around 7:30 pm, when a grenade was hurled at the SSB company location in the said area and it landed about 15 metres from the first sentry post.
“The grenade blast did not hit any personnel present in the post which is surrounded by a residential area. Police and SSB reinforcements have rushed to the spot from Soura,” an official said.
The camp lodges the 47th battalion of the force deployed in the area for security duties.
