Uttarakhand minister for women empowerment and child development Rekha Arya has ordered a departmental probe and asked for a report within three days on the alleged suicide case of a 14-year-old girl, who was found hanging inside the bathroom of a government child shelter home in Nehru Colony in Dehradun on Wednesday.

“If the probe finds laxity on part of any of the official of the child shelter home, strict action would be taken. This will also act as a warning for officials, who would take better care of children at the shelter home,” said Arya. (HT Photo)
