The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested another suspect in connection with the November 10 bomb blast in Delhi’s Red Fort area, in which about a dozen individuals and the bomber were killed.

The arrested person has been identified as Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla of Baramulla (J&K), who allegedly harboured Dr Umar un-Nabi, a 35-year-old physician from Pulwama,who was the man behind the wheel of the Hyundai i20 that exploded.
Bilal is the 8th accused to be arrested in the case. The agency officials said Malla was taken into custody in Delhi and was produced before a court on Tuesday.

A NIA spokesperson said that NIA found him involved in the conspiracy behind the terrorist attack. “As per NIA investigations, Bilal had knowingly harboured the deceased accused Umar Un Nabi by providing him logistical support. He is also accused of destruction of evidence related to the terrorist attack.”
The spokesperson added that the agency is continuing its investigation into the conspiracy behind the deadly terror act. “The anti-terror agency is working closely with various central and state agencies to unravel all the threads of the conspiracy”.
