‘No work for them in Maharashtra’: In fresh jibe, Sanjay Raut says rebels can stay in Guwahati till July 11
The Supreme Court will hold its next hearing on pleas filed by the Eknath Shinde-led group on the said date.
Taking a jibe at dissident legislators of the Shiv Sena, who are camping in a hotel in Assam's Guwahati, senior party leader Sanjay Raut said on Tuesday the rebel MLAs can stay there till July 11 as there was no work for them in Maharashtra.

“It's an order for them to rest in Guwahati till July 11. There's no work for them in Maharashtra,” news agency ANI quoted Raut as saying.
The senior Sena leader was reacting to the fact that the Supreme Court will hold its next hearing on pleas filed by the Eknath Shinde-led rebel camp on July 11. On Monday, the apex court held its first hearing in the case, and extended till July 12 the deadline for the rebels to respond to disqualification notices issued by the Maharashtra assembly deputy speaker, Narhari Zirwal.

Zirwal, who issued disqualification notices to 16 of the 39 legislators, including Shinde, gave them time till 5:30pm on June 27 to respond.
Meanwhile, addressing a press conference in Guwahati today, Eknath Shinde said his group would return to Mumbai ‘soon’ but refused to give a specific time line.

“They are saying that some number of legislators are in touch with them. They must give names and then we will clarify. This a plot to defame us, all 50 people here have come of their will and are happy. The MLAs are not here by force or for their selfish reasons. We are all here to take the idea of Hindutva,” he said, slamming the Uddhav Thackeray camp.
