PM Modi greets people on start of traditional new year

In a series of tweets, PM Modi greeted the nation on the various occasions falling on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted people on the occasion of various festivals that mark the beginning of the traditional new year and wished people happiness and prosperity.

Officials from India Meteorological Department and Ministry of Earth Sciences briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi both on the forecast for the next three months and the likelihood of a normal monsoon. (PTI)

In a series of tweets, Modi also wished people on the start of Navratri.

With the day marking the start of the ancient 'Vikram Samvat', a traditional Hindi new year, the prime minister hoped that the country will reach new heights of progress.

PM Modi also greeted people on the occasions of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Navreh, celebrated in different parts of the country.
