Presidential Poll Result: Murmu declared winner as counting concludes

Presidential Election Result 2022: The counting of votes is taking place in Room No 63 in Parliament House and the result will be declared immediately after the counting.

  Fifteen votes have been found invalid so far. The total valid votes were 748 with a value of 523600. This is for the MPs alone, informed. Rajya Sabha Secretary General PC Mody.

  Murmu got 540 votes with a value of 378000. While Yashwant Sinha has got 208 votes with a value of 145600.

  The key numbers to know

  According to the New Election Commission, there were a total of 4796 voters in the presidential election this time, out of which 99 percent exercised their franchise. There was 100 per cent voting in 11 states and the Union Territory of Puducherry. Voting was held in 30 places including Delhi and Puducherry for the Presidential election. In this election, in addition to the members of the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha, the elected representatives of the Legislative Assemblies of the States and Union Territories with Legislative Assemblies had the right to vote.
