Hyderabad police's SIT questioned BRS leader Joginapalli Santosh Rao for six hours regarding alleged phone tapping during the previous BRS regime.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Hyderabad police on Tuesday questioned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former Rajya Sabha member Joginapalli Santosh Rao in connection with the alleged phone tapping during the previous BRS regime in Telangana.

Santosh Rao, who happens to be a nephew of BRS president and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, arrived at the SIT office located within the Jubilee Hills police station in the afternoon and appeared before the investigation officers.

People familiar with the matter said during the interrogation, which went on for nearly six hours, the investigators questioned him at length in connection with the alleged illegal surveillance operation.
