With the BJP winning four of the five states that voted in this season of state elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome as he entered the Lok Sabha on Monday. In a video shared on social media, union ministers and BJP leaders - including Rajnath Singh - were seen thumping their desks as soon as the prime minister entered the House. Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla too couldn't hold back his smile at the grand welcome given to PM Modi.
The prime minister entered the house when Om Birla was speaking about a parliamentary delegation from Austria witnessing the proceedings of the House from a 'special box'. The delegation too looked surprised at this welcome.
