One person was killed and seven others injured, including five CRPF jawans, when terrorists hurled a grenade at a security vehicle at Khanyar in downtown Srinagar on Monday.

The terrorists hurled the grenade at the CRPF vehicle carrying five personnel around 2 pm, killing a civilian and injuring seven others, including the jawans. The CRPF vehicle was badly damaged in the attack and it caught fire, official sources said.

The entire area has been cordoned off and a search is on to nab the terrorists, they said.
