Army and Police on Friday recovered 10 kgs of RDX in a search operation conducted in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

On a tip off that militants were preparing improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to trigger blasts during elections, a search operation was launched in Neel forest belt in Banihal tehsil of Ramban district, official sources said.

They busted a hideout and recovered 10 Kgs of RDX, a Chinese pistol, an AK Rifle, 2 UBGL grenades, detonators and some maps, they said.
