10 killed in J&K road accident

At least 10 people were killed and 15 injured when a bus rolled down a mountain road in Jammu and Kashmir.The bus, going from Thathri to Gandoh carrying 25 passengers on board, skidded off the road.

At least 10 people were killed and 15 injured when a bus rolled down a mountain road in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, the police said.

The bus, going from Thathri to Gandoh carrying 25 passengers on board, skidded off the road and rolled down over 500 feet near Karra, in Doda district, about 180 km northeast of Jammu.

According to the police, locals were first to reach the spot and saw 10 bodies. Fifteen injured were taken to nearby hospitals.

The police said it appeared the driver lost control over the wheel while negotiating a turn.
