Synergy Thrislington’s building — Instacon — that raised quite a few eyebrows stands tall at an industrial plot in Mohali, 10km from Chandigarh.

The company had managed the lofty feat last month, starting construction at 4.30pm on November 29 and finishing exactly 48 hours later on December 1.

According to the company’s chief operating officer Yashjeet Gupta, the building earned them a place in the Limca Book of Records. Prior to going for the construction at breakneck speed, the company took about two months to manufacture all the materials used.

More than 200 skilled workers, technicians and engineers gave shape to the structure using pre-fabricated material, which included 200 tonnes of steel.

“Our effort was to put the 10-storey structure in place within 48 hours. We wanted to prove that this could be done,” said Harpal Singh, CMD, Synergy Thrislington.

“The model has been cleared for the zone-5 seismic area,” Singh added.
