100 devotees leave for Amarnath

AT LEAST 100 devotees were headed for Baba Amarnath Dham from the Varanasi Cantonment Railway Station by Himgiri Express on Saturday. Moreover, registration of yatris was continuing despite June 15 being the last date for registration. The overjoyed pilgrims chanted ?Baba Barfani hum ayenge, jal wahi chadayenge? and ?Jai Baba Barfani Nath? and ?Har har Mahadeo?. These devotees started their religious tour under the banner of Sri Bab Kashi Vishwanath Sewa Samiti.

The overjoyed pilgrims chanted ‘Baba Barfani hum ayenge, jal wahi chadayenge’ and ‘Jai Baba Barfani Nath’ and ‘Har har Mahadeo’. These devotees started their religious tour under the banner of Sri Bab Kashi Vishwanath Sewa Samiti.

Corporator Vijay Verma was leading the group. It may be noted the first group of 20 devotees had started their journey to Baba Amarnath Dham from Varanasi on Friday. The third group would begin its tour from Varanasi on July 5.

As many as 2,600 yatris registered for this year’s yatra from Varanasi alone.

The last date for registration, June 15, has now been extended for an indefinite period till the registration quota allocated for Varanasi branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank is complete, said branch manager of Jammu and Kashmir Bank RK Talwar.
